Raw Chocolate Recipe


  • 1 cup raw cacao
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 2 tea spoons maple syrup (or agave if maple syrup unavailable)
  • ¾ cup Raisins

Note – if u want to make healthier, add ground pepitas//almonds/walnuts


  • Melt coconut oil in saucepan at low temperature
  • Add in cacao and maple syrup, raisins and grounds seeds nuts (optional)
  • Mix well (add a little water if necessary to obtain required consistency)
  • Add into ideally a glass baking dish and put in refrigerator. When it hardens a little, cut into squares.

Keep stored in refrigerator
You can add in other healthy ingredients or use carob instead of cacao (Carob has no caffeine in it so  more suitable for children. Though100 grams of carob has 25% of daily iron requirements, 100 grams cocoa has 77% daily iron requirements)
Add more maple syrup suit (make sure it is maple syrup from Canada and not the United States)
Change around ingredients to taste and have fun experimenting
